About

Our cosy Shepherd's Hut with Hot Tub sits in the corner of a traditional Somerset cider orchard steeped in local history and myth. Tucked away off the yard of our family home the Priests House, the orchard sits at the foot of Cadbury Castle, rumoured to be the mythical site of King Arthur’s Camelot.

The interior is simple, Rustic Luxe at its best, paired with luxury bedding, a chic kitchenette and ensuite shower room. Enjoy the wood-fired hot-tub overlooking the orchard— so romantic. Visit the renowned gardens of the Newt, the bustling markets of Castle Cary and Sherborne, or the award-winning restaurants of Bruton.

Or just stay local: take in the views over to Glastonbury Tor from the top of Cadbury Castle, hike the Monarchs Way to some amazing pubs, cycle across the Somerset Levels, stopping to admire the landscape and sample the delicious local cheeses, cider and produce on offer.

According to local legend King Arthur used to water his horse at the well in our Eastern orchard before riding up onto Camelot.  A ten minute hike and you can enjoy spectacular views across the Somerset levels to Glastonbury Tor - the sunsets are legendary!
